91.17No Portable Electronic Devices
No person may operate a portable electronic device:
- In an aircraft operated by a holder of an operating certificate
- Any aircraft operting under IFR
Except for the following device:
- Portable voice recorders
- Hearing aids
- Heart pace makers
- Electric shavers
- Any other device that the operator has determined will not interfere with the navigation or communication systems on the aircraft
