Determining Airworthiness

An aircraft is airworthiness when it is initially manufactured and is issued and airworthiness certificate and a type certificate data sheet.

To remain airworthy the aircraft must be main continuously conform to its type certificate.

Pilot Responsibilities

The pilot in command of a civil aircraft is responsible for determining whether that aircraft is in condition for safe flight. The pilot in command shall discontinue the flight when unairworthy mechanical, electrical, or structural conditions occur. 91.7

Required Inspections

The aircraft must comply with all required inspections.

Required Documents

An aircraft must have onboard the required A.R.R.O.W. documents.

Inoperative Equipment

An aircraft can be flow with inoperative equipment in some circumstances as specified by 91.213.
