Flight Reviews
No person may act as PIC unless they have received and logged a flight review in the proceeding 24 months.
A logbook endorsement is required to show completion of the flight review.
A flight review must consist of:
- 1 hour of flight training
- 1 hour of ground training
- A review of general operating rules of Part 91
- A review of maneuvers and procedures (at the reviewer's discretion), are "necessary for the pilot to demonstrate the safe exercise of the privileges of the pilot certificate"
The following may also be used in lieu of a flight review:
- A pilot proficiency check
- A practical test for a new certificate, rating, or privilege
- A practical test for a flight instructor certificate
- A renewal of a flight instructor certificate
