Physical Possession of Pilot Documents
To act as a "pilot flight crewmember" of a civil aircraft unless they in their physical possession:
- A pilot certificate or temporary certificate
- Photo identification, including a:
- State driver's license
- Passport
- Military identification card
- Government identification card
- A valid medical certificate
Lost or Destroyed Documents
If a pilot certificate is lost or destroyed, the FAA should be notified by mail, and they can issue a 60-day temporary certificate.
Address Changes
A pilot should notify the FAA within 30 days of a change of address.
